My name is Anthony Shapley, and I own Paris-Hilton-Forums.com. I don’t know much about Paris Hilton, but since creating this site I’ve had a chance to read up on her. What I write is just my opinion – nothing more.

The first thing everybody knows about Paris Hilton is that she is rich. A certain pettiness of Western culture is to hate people who are rich. Although we’d all like to be rich, for some reason culture dictates that we hate the rich. It is assumed that those that are rich do not care about the sufferings of the poor.

That really is an irrational dictate. Many of the rich do care and do give to charity. And they really have no obligation to do so. Most of the poor in Western industrialized nations are poor because they of their own failings. There is plenty of opportunity there to succeed but they choose not to go after success. The other type of poor is those who are going through the phase of poverty – usually the folks in the early twenties who are paying their dues. Either way, Paris Hilton has no obligation to pay somebody else’s bills.
